Kid's Factory

MTTHF 2:00  pm - 4:00 pm
W 12:45 pm - 4:00 pm

Kid's Factory is a free "drop-in" program offering recreational activities including crafts, playground games, sports, table games & more with a $25 registration fee.

All activities are held outdoors and subject to cancellation due to unfavorable weather conditions.

If weather is questionable, please call our weather hotline @ 949-460-2735 after 11:00 am.

Parents are responsible for providing transportation to and from the program.  Children must be picked up on time.  If a child is picked up late, a fee will be assessed.

A schedule of program activities will be available at each site.

Activities include:

Arts & Crafts, outdoor sports and games, science projects, music & movement, cooking, language and dramatic play. 

During our activity choice times, kids can chose between our 8 activity centers: science, manipulatives, blocks, music and listening, arts and crafts, games, drama and reading.

Homework Club is a one hour session, Monday through Thursday, where the kids have a quiet atmosphere where they can work on their daily homework assignments.  Leaders are available to assist kids with their homework if they need it.  The YMCA staff works closely with the children's teacher to be sure homework is completed properly.

General Information:

Our school age childcare program is year-round.  We are open on minimum days, pupil free days, school vacation days, and all summer long.  The center closes on legal holidays.  Center hours and activities are printed in the centers newsletter and on the monthly calendar.

Additional Programs Offered:

bulletKinderdarten Plus program provides kindergarten students and opportunity to spend an extended day up until 2 PM in an instructional setting.
bulletThe YMCA has a Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) that meets monthly to plan activities and help fundraisers for the center.  There's partners work very closely with the center staff to ensure a quality center for the children here.  All are invited to join.
bulletAfter School Sports Programs:
Throughout the year the YMCA offers after school sports to the kids at Bathgate Elementary.  This is a league with all 9 elementary schools in the Capistrano Unified School District.  Sports offered are Flag Football, Basketball, Track and Field.
 

 

bulletOver-Nighters - Throughout the year the PAC hosts over-nighters.  For an additional fee, children can spend a night away from their parents playing games, doing arts and crafts and having fun.  Dinner and breakfast is included.
bulletFull day Kindergarten is offered for students in the AM Kindergarten program on a fee basis from the YMCA.  Contact the YMCA for more information.
