CHOOSE home school empowers you to maximize the educational choices and the options available to your student. CHOOSE provides a classroom alternative for students to achieve competency in basic skills, while also recognizing and supporting the variety of learning styles and strategies utilized to achieve those skills. The CHOOSE staff is here to support your decision to educate your child at home. We encourage students to study at their own pace and become active participants in their own learning.

CHOOSE enrollment entitles you to pursue educational opportunities outside of the classroom, within the framework of a learning contract and with the assistance of a credentialed teacher. Through this school learning experiences can be individualized to meet each student's needs. Curriculum can be modified based upon the continuing communication between the home educator, the student and the certificated teacher.

CHOOSE will provide the core of your student's home-based education, yet we also recognize that not every need can always be met at home. Therefore, through CHOOSE your student can supplement his or her home-education with both learning and special activities at his or her CUSD school of residence. This added option provides you with an array of educational choices, which will give each student access to becoming independent, and committed to learning.
