During spring conferences, interventions should be discussed with parents and documented on the SST 1.2 form (available online, under forms, click on Student Study Team Forms). If this form was completed in fall, it can be revisited during spring conferences.
When completing Retention Alert Notices, please ensure that all required information (Date, DOB, Grade, etc.) is entered in the top portion of this form, including the parent, teacher, and administrator signature. Provide parents with a copy of the document. (This form is also available online, under forms, click on Retention Forms).
- Please remember that retentions must be documented through the SST II process. Please also remember that before you retain a student, s/he should undergo a special education assessment in order to rule out a learning disability or other qualifying condition.
