Magazine Order Questions?
If you ordered a magazine in our Reader's Digest/QSP Fall Fundraiser and haven't received it yet, please contact QSP at 1-800-681-4258 and press 2 for "gift replacement". Give them the name of the school, teacher, and student with whom the order was placed. They will be able to fulfill the order and you should have your magazine in 4-6 weeks. Hope that helps!

Car Seat Safety Presentation at Canyon Vistas: Did you know that 98% of all car seats are not installed correctly in Aliso Viejo? Are you wondering if your child's car seat is too loose? Can you use the LATCH for the center rear vehicle seat? Is your 7 year old safe without a booster seat? Come and find the answers to all of these questions and more. The safety meeting scheduled at DJAES has been RESCHEDULED to 7pm Tuesday (1/15) at Canyon Vistas Elementary School. Aliso Viejo Crime Prevention Specialist, Margo Beauchamp, will be speaking to parents about child passenger safety and keeping our kids safe in cars. Child care will be provided by the Canyon Vistas YMCA. This is a community-wide event for all parents in Aliso Viejo.

Skate Night!: We are having our annual DJAES Family Skate Night at the Aliso Viejo Ice Palace on Wednesday, Jan 16th from 6:15pm to 8:30pm. The cost is $13 per skater and includes skate rental. A percentage of sales go back to DJAES PTA. Come out and have some wintertime fun!

Jog-a-thon Art Contest: Every year a student at DJAES draws the art for the Jog-a-thon t-shirt. This year it could be your child! Art must be drawn on an 8.5" x 11" piece of white paper. It's better to have a big and simple drawing than something small and detailed. Turn in the entries to your teacher by Friday, Jan 25th. The art must relate to our school's theme, "Building Successful Students". A winner be chosen from all entries.
