From The CUSD Foundation:

Thank you to all who have donated close to a quarter million dollars in four days after our mailer was received!!!!  We are on our way to rehiring as many teachers as we can to keep our class sizes smaller so our children can get the education that they deserve. 

You have two options when donating – Option 1: Grades K – 3, or Option 2: Grades 4 – 12.   Donations received are not transferred from one option to the other.  ANY money received will go toward rehiring as many of the 266 teachers as we can.   Rehiring the teachers will result in lower class sizes.  Our children’s education should not be interrupted in the upcoming 2008-09 school year because of these devastating budget cuts.
