I grew up in Agoura, California, with my parents and two older brothers. I attended a small high school of 300 students. I played on the tennis, basketball and softball teams. My father was an electrical engineer and my mother was a secretary working for the same firm as my dad. Both have recently made the move to retire after over 30 years of working.
While living on Balboa Island during college, I met my future husband. He is an Assistant Professor in Art History at Palomar College and my best friend! Click here to go to his website! We have two beautiful sons!

I have been teaching first grade at George White Elementary since 1996. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Ecology from UC Irvine and my California Teaching Credential from National University. While attending UC Irvine, my memberships included the ski club and Pi Beta Phi Sorority. I majored in Social Ecology, with an emphasis in Criminal Justice. Though the legal profession interested me during my undergraduate years, I soon realized that my true calling was in teaching. I began teaching Sunday School at my local church and went back to school to obtain my teaching credential. Teaching is such an important part of my life that I couldn't imagine doing anything else! I especially love it here at George White Elementary and am very proud to be a part of the community of parents, teachers, and students! We have an outstanding Blue Ribbon school!

My family and I enjoy spending time working on creative projects at home, such as arts & crafts and writing. When we have the chance, we enjoy hiking, walking, water sports, and going out to dinner and a movie. I also enjoy reading, sewing, knitting, rollarblading, swimming, bicycling, and horseback riding. Apart from trips to New York and Europe, we like to travel to some local spots, like Carmel, Las Vegas, Santa Barbara, Laughlin, and Arizona. I am an avid animal lover. Currently, we own one cat named "Bear" and a dog named "Tory".
