
Students, we ask that you remember these simple rules* to keep you and your classmates safe when you are riding or near a school bus.
1. Never run to or from the bus.
2. Be on time.
3. Stand back from the curb.
4. Don't push or shove.
5. Stay in your seat.
6. Don't yell or shout.
7. Always obey the driver.
8. Wait for the driver's signal before crossing the street.
9. Always cross at least 10 feet in front of the bus.
10. Never crawl under a bus.
Parents please remember that school bus safety is everybody's business.
Discuss these school bus safety rules with your children and make sure they
know and understand them.
Remember never pass a school bus when you see red lights flashing.
Over 90 million motorists illegally pass stopped school busses each year according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Illegal passing of a stopped school bus is a major cause of school bus related fatalities.
