FUTURE PROJECTS

Here at George White Elementary School we are always looking to the future. Below is a sample of our projects already in progress or completed.

COMPUTER LAB - For the Fall of 1999 we will have a computer lab consisting of Apple G3 computers. This lab will also have access to our color scanner and digital camera, along with its own printer and internet access.--COMPLETED--

NETWORK/INTERNET- By the end of this year all portables will be networked with the rest of the school. This will also make it possible to have internet access in all classrooms.--COMPLETED--

SCANNER/DIGITAL CAMERA- Last year George White School acquired 16 PC's through a grant. We are looking to purchase a color scanner and/or a digital camera for these PC's.

INTRANET- To cut down on paper waste we are thinking about implementing an intranet for our teachers and staff.--IN PROGRESS--

LIBRARY- The library will be receiving two new "look-up" stations to replace the card catalog system which is now in place. In addition, a new check-in/check-out computer will be purchased.--NEAR COMPLETION--
