Background |

| |
Selection Criteria |
All recommended programs have been extensively reviewed and are currently being piloted throughout the district.
Steps Followed:
- Reviews from FCRR (Florida Center for Reading Research) and the University of Oregon Reading First Center were studied. Only those programs receiving high scores were considered.
- Vendors from programs under consideration were invited to an Instructional Fair. Fair attendees completed rated reviews of the programs.
- Based on the rating scores from fair attendees, selected vendors were invited to provide in-depth presentations of their intervention programs to committee members.
- Programs were again rated.
- Only those programs receiving high ratings from the Reading Intervention Committee were included on the matrix.

Next Steps |
Only one of the recommended programs is technology-based (Earobics). The committee, in collaboration with TIS, continues to explore and review state of the art technology driven intervention solutions. Due to the complexities of implementation and the high costs involved, the committee is being cautious and thoughtful before final recommendations are made. Input from district and site level stake holders will be solicited.
