Easy Fundraising Opportunities for Palisades!
Did you know that Palisades families earned more than $560 for school programs last year through Box Tops for Education and online retailers? This year our goal is to double last year’s return and bring in $1120 through Box Tops for Education, Community Partners, and online retailers. It’s easy, fast, and free, so clip boxtops AND sign up today to boost our children’s learning. Grandparents, neighbors, and anyone who loves your child can help too. Here’s how:
Box Tops for Education
Earn $0.10 per qualifying item from General Mills. Clip the special “Box Tops for Education” coupons found on General Mills, Huggies, Ziploc, Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, and other products. For a complete list of products visit www.boxtops4education.com. Write your child’s name and teacher on the back of your Box Tops and submit to the office. One Box Top is drawn every Friday for a special surprise!
Amazon.com
Earn up to 10% of each purchase for Palisades! Every purchase, even purchases from other people and companies via amazon.com are eligible (even Target.com). To earn 10% for Palisades you must click on the Amazon link on the right hand side. Unfortunately purchases can not be retroactively credited to Palisades, so be sure to use the link from the school website.
Albertsons Community Partners
Earn a percentage of nearly all purchases for Palisades simply by shopping with your Preferred card. You must register your card first – go to www.albertsons.com/cp/ and click on the link to register your preferred card. You may need to enter your zipcode first, and then click on the “in the community” link at the bottom of the page, followed by the Community Partners link on the subsequent page – they don’t seem to make it too easy. Enter your Preferred card and phone number to log on. Next, click on the “find a partner” link on the right side of the page. Palisades ID# for Albertsons is 49001015178. Register your card once and all following shopping trips generate cash for Palisades!
Ralphs Grocery Stores
Register your Ralphs Club card too! Go to www.ralphs.com. Click on the “Community Contributions” link on the left side of the home page, then the “Participants” link on the subsequent link. Enter the Palisades NPO# 81859 (CUSDFoundation/Palisades/CSR), your card #, name, and address. Now you’re really earning for Palisades!
Vons Grocery Stores
Like Albertsons and Ralphs, Vons contributes to Palisades through a secondary partner called eScrip. To register, go to www.escrip.com. You will need to create an account and link the account to Palisades (eScrip ID# 6667937). Vons requires each card member to re-register each year and “renew their commitment”, so even if you’ve registered your Vons card in the past you must re-register annually. Now through October 6 Vons is giving 10% of specially marked purchases to schools, but your card must be linked to Palisades for the school to receive these funds!
eScrip
When you register your Vons card, you will note that you can earn cash for Palisades at several online retailers by shopping through the link on the eScrip online mall. Earn up to 10% of your purchases at online stores including ebay, Macys, Nordstrom, Land’s End and more. Register for their dining program and earn by dining out as well. Since you already have an eScrip account from registering your Vons card, why not earn more for our school by going through the eScrip link?
Upromise
This site allows you to earn money for your child’s college education in an individual 529 account, and to “double dip” by contributing to Palisades as well. We started a Upromise account about 5 years ago and now our daughter has more than $700 contributed by Exxon/Mobil, Coke, Pampers, Proflowers, McDonald’s, and more, in her own 529 account at Vanguard, without us sending in a dime of our own money. Upromise has a dining program like eScrip, so the school may get double rewards in certain restaurants when you register your credit cards. Upromise does create an investment account for you, so more personal information is required than for eScrip (including SSN), but the payoff is great as well! Go to www.upromise.com/schools to ensure that Palisades gets the bonus $3 for new enrollment. Palisades then gets $5 for the first online purchase, $2 for dining at a UPromise restaurant using a registered credit card, and/or $20 for a UPromise credit card, for a potential $30/new enrollment (up to $27 for existing members). To link Palisades, click on the “Schools Program” link at the top of the page.
Questions about these programs or how to sign up? Please don’t hesitate to contact Melinda Riker for Box Tops for Education, or Dianne Kim for Community Partners and Online retailers. With a little effort and technology we can meet or exceed our 2008-2009 goal of $1120 for Palisades!
