Shorecliffs Surf Team Information: Web Page Shorecliffs Middle School and the local San Clemente beaches has always been a catalyst for some of the best surfers in the world. Here are some former Shorecliffs Seahawks who turned professional: Tanner Gudauskas, Patrick Gudauskas, Kalani Miller, Dino Andino, Chris Ward, Matt Archibald, Gavin Beschen, Shane Beschen, Joe McNulty. Shorecliffs Surf Team has won many state and national surfing titles. Every year our goals are set much higher and our team is more competitive in competition. David Hennings, The Shorecliffs Surf Coach, spends a lot of time training with our surf team before school at T-Street beach. Many local surfing companies sponsor our team with clothing, discount cards, surfboards, wetsuits, etc. Academically, every team member must maintain a passing G.P.A. to remain on the surf team. Principal Donald Mahoney barbecued for the staff and kids. We played games and reminisced about the past school year.Everyone had a great time! Pro Surfing Guest Speaker - Mike Parsons: Event Pictures On March 22, 2001, Mike Parsons, professional "Big Wave" surfer and resident of San Clemente, showed slides to the 6th grade students of his recent big wave surfing journey at Cortes Bank. Mike Parsons is featured on Swell.com for riding a 70' wave at Cortes Bank. Also, CNN did a television feature on Mike's quest to surf the biggest waves in the world.
