Vista del Mar's School Song:
(sung to the tune of “You’re a Grand Old Flag”)

We are Vista del Mar
Where we reach for the stars
We work hard we play fair all the time
We’re the yellow black and blue
And to our school we’re true
Both in school and at home we will shine
If you do need a friend
Count on us till the end
We will always be there by your side
For VdM is number one
Keep your eye on that Mako pride
M-A-K-O…………….Makos!

TRAFFIC CIRCULATION
For the safety of our students, all drop off and pick up areas are NO CELL PHONE USE AREAS while driving.
If you wish to walk your child to class on the first day of school, limited parking is available in the parking lot in marked spaces only and not along red curbs. Our staff has increased, so we ask that you refrain from using spaces marked for STAFF. Additional parking is available on the far side of Avenida Talega past Portofino and both sides of Talega before Portofino. There is no parking available on the school side of Avenida Talega. Traffic is a challenge. Please consider car pooling and walking to school if possible. Students may be dropped off and picked up at the stairs on the school side of Avenida Talega. Students would then proceed down the stairs, along the sidewalk to the front of the school, and then down to the elementary side. If you must drive, proceed slowly into the parking lot in a single file fashion. Cars will be waved up as students enter cars and those cars proceed out into the flow-through middle lane. Please understand that teachers are on duty to assist with traffic flow. Be patient and remember we are all working together. Never leave your car unattended in the traffic flow pattern; never park in a red zone; police officers have issued citations for parking in the red zone. Your help patience, and consideration are greatly appreciated with this challenge that we face on a daily basis. THANK YOU!
