Student Teachers are placed through the Office of Induction.  Per CUSD Board Policy 4122, all student teachers and formal fieldwork observers must attend a CUSD Professionalism Training prior to the start of their assignment at a CUSD school site.  All student teachers and formal field work observers must have a Certificate of Clearance on file with the CTC.  University placement coordinators work directly with the Office of Induction to request placements.  Student teachers should not reach out to principals or potential master teachers.  Only informal academic observers who are not enrolled in teacher credentialing program may contact school office managers to arrange informal academic observations of less than 40 hours per semester.  Informal observers must fill out a Tier 2 Volunteer Clearance form prior or starting observations.
