New Hire Benefits Information

Newly hired or considering a position with CUSD? 
 
Below is information regarding our health benefits. Use the links in the navigation pane to the left to get more detailed information on the specific plans.

Who is eligible for benefits?
Permanent employees (not subs!) who work at least 20 hours per week or a 50% contract (or more).
 
When do benefits start?
For New Hires:
Benefits begin the 1st of the month following the end of your 30 day enrollment period.
For example: If you start on 8/12, you have until 9/12 to enroll and then benefits would start on 10/1.
 
For Existing Employees:
Benefits begin the 1st of the month following your promotion/change in hours. 
For example: The new position/hours start(s) 8/12, you have until 9/12 to enroll and then benefits would start 9/1.
