Tuition-Based Preschool
Our Tuition-Based Preschool Program provides a two (2) day, three (3) day or five (5) day week pre-k program. For the preschool program, children must be 3 years of age by December 1st of the school year in which you are enrolling (may begin attending once they turn 3) and be toilet trained*.
*Accommodations can be made for students who have a medical condition or disability that directly impacts toileting needs.
The Preschool Program operates both half day sessions (AM and PM sessions) and full-day sessions, 2, 3, and 5 days per week. Half day programs are 3 hours per session, and the full-day programs are 7 hours.
Our general education preschool programs implement an adult to child ratio of 1:8 in all classrooms.
For half-day programs:
- There is a maximum of 16 children per session, with one teacher and one instructional assistant
For full-day programs:
- There is a maximum of 24 children, with one teacher and two instructional assistants.
We also offer language programs, where instuction takes place in another language:
Our Spanish Immersion Programs are half-day programs with AM and PM sessions. Our Spanish Immersion Programs follow either a 50/50, 90/10, or 80/20 model for language immersion, depending on the philosphy of the school and it's language immersion program. Our Spanish Immersion Programs are located at Las Palmas Elementary, RH Dana Elementary, San Juan Elementary, and Viejo Elementary schools.
Our "Mandarin Infused" Program has components of Mandrain instruction throughout the day. The lead teacher is English-speaking, and our two instructional assistants are fluent in Mandarin. Our students receive daily exposure to Mandarin throughout various components of the day, including circle time, singing, counting activities, and/or small group activities. The Mandarin Infused Program is a full-day program, which runs from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Bergeson Elementary School.
