Alliance of Schools for Cooperative Insurance Programs

Capistrano Unified School District is a member the Alliance of Schools for Cooperative Insurance Department (ASCIP). ASCIP is a public agency joint powers authority (JPA), which provides liability and property coverage to nearly 100 school districts and community colleges in the State of California.
 
Claims against the District must be filed not later than six months from the date of the cause of action (see Government Code Section 911.2). Claim forms may be obtained by calling (949) 234-9405.
 
Booster/ Foundation/ Auxiliary Groups 
All booster clubs and auxiliary groups operating within the District are required to maintain a $1 million general liability policy and name Capistrano Unified School District as an additional insured party. As part of the ASCIP program, CUSD offers such a policy at very affordable rates. For more information on this program, you may contact the District Insurance Office at (949) 234-9405.
