Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) is here to make sure students disadvantaged by social, economic, educational, or linguistic barriers get the resources they need to enroll and succeed at any California community college. How? By offering comprehensive academic and support counseling, financial aid, and a bevy of other services aimed at keeping students from dropping out and helping them reach their educational and career goals.  Please go to EOPS's website to learn more.

 

FURS includes a 24/7 Statewide Hotline and a 24/7 County-based Mobile Response and Stabilization!!  FURS will provide current and former foster youth (up to age 21) and their caregivers with immediate, trauma-informed support by caring and trained professionals when they need it.

HOMELESS ASSISTANCE

 

The Family Solutions Collaborative is a coalition of the leading family service nonprofits in Orange County and was formed to streamline the process for homeless families to be connected to the services they need. The McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Assistance Act has been reauthorized and incorporated into the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).  The reauthorization ensures educational rights and protections for children and youth experiencing homelessness. Capistrano Unified School District (CUSD) School Counseling Program provides individual student academic planning and goal setting, short-term counseling to students, referrals for long-term support, collaboration with families, teachers, administrators, and community agencies for student success, and advocacy for students at student-focused meetings. MINORS SEEKING SHELTER

 

Casa Youth Shelter is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing emergency temporary shelter for youth aged 12-17 who are homeless, abused, or struggling with crisis. Located at 10911 Reagan Street, Los Alamitos, California 90720; they are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
