Web Content Filtering

The purpose of the District's web filter is to better provide customized access to staff and students (by grade level) as appropriate. The filter provides increased security, high availability, and a myriad of future growth options.

Should you find yourself unable to access a web page or application you previously had access to, please follow the steps below :

CUSD OWNED DEVICE:
First, check for the group number displayed on the website block page. If it is anything other than “1”, please click, fill, and submit the Internet Filter Request Form.
Be sure to include the actual address of the site (e.g. http://www.webpage.com or http://www.webpage.com/page5). It is possible that we will reach back out to you for additional information if necessary to complete this request.

If the group number is “1” and you are on a District (CUSD) owned device, please submit a RADAR ticket to have a technician fix the issue.

PERSONALLY OWNED DEVICES:
In the interest of security, all personally owned devices receive our default level of internet filtration, which is the same level that all our students receive. This means some websites normally accessible on CUSD devices may be blocked on personal devices. If you are attempting to access a website on your personal devices that you believe is blocked in error, please fill and submit the Internet Filter Request Form.

Be sure to include the actual address of the site (e.g. http://www.webpage.com or http://www.webpage.com/page5). It is possible that we will reach back out to you for additional information if necessary to complete this request.
