The Information Services and Assessment Accountability Department supports Capistrano Unified School District by managing and coordinating the daily activities and functions related to providing technical support for a wide variety of District data systems including, Student Information Management, Human Resources, Finance, Budget, Parent/Student Messaging software, Substitute Management and systems related to educational learning programs.
Additionally, the department is responsible for facilitating State and Federal reporting to California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS) & U.S. Department of Education Civil Rights Data Collection, and other State and Federal mandated reports.
The Information Services staff develops and provides user training and documentation to assist school district staff with managing and understanding their student data and provide tools and applications to assist in managing daily tasks. The department also provides support to students and parents using the District’s Parent Portal and Registration systems.
We work with District administrators to provide complex student data analysis reports and dashboards to assist in monitoring student progress towards meeting the state standards and progression towards high school graduation.

  • Maintain the Aeries Student Information System, including the Parent/Student Portals and Online registration system for all schools 
  • Manage SQL Microsoft Access database needs 
  • Provide Aeries training classes and phone support to all district Aeries users
  • Install updates and maintain web Interfaces used by teachers and staff to manage daily attendance, grades, etc.
  • Import/Export data

  • To make changes to your personal contact information or to add/delete/edit emergency contacts, please log into your Parent Portal account. >> Click on Student Info >>Data Confirmation.
